This label is the result of a California law passed in 1986, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act (also known as Proposition 65 or Prop 65).
This label appears on thousands of consumer products, including electrical wires, jewelry, padlocks, dishes, flashlights, and pesticides, to name just a few.
The presence of this label does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. For a comprehensive explanation of Prop 65 please visit the American Cancer Society website.
In order to be compliant with Prop 65, we are required to post this label as it is possible that there may be a chemical present in the S’mores Maker and S’mores Heat™ packaging that is on the state of California’s list of harmful compounds.
